kayan9896最近先後推出英文單曲《LOST IN THE RAIN》以及廣東版的《撇》，她表示最初本來只得英文單曲，但拍了MV之後，卻又覺得整個音樂計劃可以容納多一個廣東版本，而且fans經常叫她出廣東歌，她就邀請薑檸樂寫了《撇》這份歌詞。
兩個版本雖然編曲一樣，但在內容以及想要傳遞的態度上卻有明顯分別，kayan指這兩首歌的靈感都是來自失戀，當時在感情上受傷的她，跟好朋友兼合作無間的SHIMICA訴苦，SHIMICA過後給kayan聽到一支demo，大家都覺得可以有發展空間，就創作了《LOST IN THE RAIN》。而《撇》的出現是在半年之後，經過半年沉澱，面對分手又有另一番感受，薑檸樂提議用一個比較有態度，甚至較為惡的方向去寫，就得出了廣東版的《撇》，kayan笑言唱廣東版來得更爽！
